HI, I'M IZO

I'm a 19-year-old from Southwestern Ontario
who loves to paint and experiment with different artistic mediums. I've loved art for as long as I can remember, so being able to create is my joy.

     The name Izo Lovo was developed so I can create various works and keep my identity separate from them. Izo Lovo is actually derived from the statement, "eyes all over", as when I was young, I was intrigued by the idea that everything had a life to it, pulsating before my own eyes. I felt as if the name and meaning was something we can universally identify with, so Izo Lovo is the external vision of my creations. Izo Lovo allows me to create separate identities that make art which I, as Claire, would not be able to envision the same.

   Throughout my work, I am drawn back to my fascination with composition. This allows me to explore and express the various aspects of self through my imagination, all well slowly collecting a mental image of what I am making. I use the way I identify with the world to further explore my work as a separate entity from me, often being open to where the art will guide me. Through art, I am able to experiment with the various aspects of myself, as I learn and further develop my practice as a creative in defining my own unique path.
